The Annual Party on the 23rd
Suprise guests, Dave and Tracy! They sure look good with a baby... hmmm. Eva and Guido brought their angel Sofia. They also added a lovely German verse to our singing of "Silent Night". In the answer to your question, does every entry have to have a picture of Sean? No... Any sweet baby will do!! Ok, here's one to document that we still have lovely friends without babies and that the bar still works. Happy Xmas Eve!
Four Course Dinners and a Dance Party!
Xmas has begun with a rocking good start! Aunt Kelli and Uncle Johnny made us dinner and brought Sean a cool 'peace' t-shirt on Sunday night. It was a great way to start the season, I think we started a new tradition especially the banana splits for dessert! Kisses and best wishes to Auntie and Uncle as they drive up north to spend the rest of the holiday with Johnny's extended family. December 23, 2002

Xmas Fireworks!
Grandpa held Sean as fireworks blasted off over the Manhattan Beach pier last night. We went to two excellent parties, finishing the night at the swanky Taylor pad on the Strand. Great people and good fun watching Sean being passed from welcome arm to welcome shoulder throughout the room. This little boy has brought us so much love and happiness already it is always fun to spread it around. He has no idea what how special and how loved he is, but hopefully he is starting to get the idea! December 08, 2002
Sean meets Ian & Aaron!
Today Sean met our friends Aaron and Ian, finally. They were two of my first new friends in L.A. and both are excellent actors, singers, dancers, and goofballs. They have a show running at the Tamarind Theater on Franklin Dec 12-14 & 19-21. I've seen it twice and both times it made me laugh and cry. Too many cute pictures today, I just had to put both of these up. We walked the reservoir with Amy, Aaron, & Sydney possibly for the last time before they move to Oakland. I'm sad but trying not to think about it too much. Plus I am very excited for Aaron's new job, for Sydney to grow up near her cousins, and for Amy to be surrounded by family and old friends. A lovely ending to a long, very fun, jam-packed weekend. December 04, 2002
8 weeks old!
Sean is 8 weeks old now and life is far from organizing itself into some sort of mundane routine. Life through Sean's eyes is ever new and ever exciting. There is always something to discover. The light playing off the sliding glass doors can be studied. Legs can kick and arms can flail. His body grows before our very eyes. You take for granted those quick errands (or simply going out for a coffee), every step outside the house is a complicated process involving hats and socks, carseats, blankets, diapers, wipes, strollers, bjorns... heaven forbid mom should forget her wallet or to change out of her pajama bottoms. The alarm just went off, the alarm that is my baby's chirp sweetly asking for my attention. |
